Beautiful grounds with acres to walk around. We visited again in November and the weather was incredibly mild, the colours on the trees were stunning. There's a cafe by the main mansion house where you can sit and have drinks and something to eat. It's dog friendly, however I would say that they could do with more waste bins around the grounds and maybe a few water bowls for dogs. You will see deer here too, also they hold events here so always worth looking what's on. Absolutely recommend this place to visit for anyone who loves walking, history, beauty and nature.

Love this place. Plenty of woodland to explore, as well as open space that's perfect for activities, dog walking and for children to burn off steam, as well as picnics. Plenty of wild garlic in the wooded section where the frisbee golf is, when it's in season, and the mansion house is beautiful too. The car parks are very reasonably priced (the Church Lodge car park often has plenty of space, and under £2 a day is pretty good). Worth a visit if you're looking for somewhere to stretch your legs!

Always a great place to come. For family meets ups, picnics with friends, dog walks, bike rides. Even parties at the mansion.. plus all the festivals that are held here. Parking is reasonable.....expanse is large. Coffee is great!

Great mixture of woodland, deer parks with sculpture and fine historic buildings for good measure. Quite an experience eating lunch in the former stables - see how the other horses lived. Particularly loved Hugo Farmer's Freedom of Speech.

Wonderful garden area and cafe. Wider grounds are vast with loads to explore. Lots of open spaces and forest trails. Deer were lovely to see up close. Sadly you have to pay to park there now. Also all the ticket machines were out of use, and it was more expensive to pay online. Bristol city council is a joke.
