Beautiful place to visit... a must see... there is a lot see and would recommend to get there early so you can see the whole castle and gardens and appreciate its history, architecture and all its glory.... unfortunately I entered the place at around 1:30pm and just managed to only see the inside of the castle and missed the main gardens.. (it closes at 5pm) the website said you may take 2 hrs but that's not enough time.. more like 4 hrs easily. Prices are a bit expensive but worth it. Staff are kind and helpful. Ready to help and explain the history of the castle and all other related history. Parking seem to be free on the road just outside the castle but i parked in the car park opposite for approx. £3.40 for 4 hrs. I would have given a 5 star rating but prices are high and the website mislead me to think that i could see the whole castle and surroundings in 2 hrs. Children pay £10 and a adult £25!!! Ouch!

Simply one of the best castles I've visited. Screams wealth and power, makes a nice change to see a castle intact and furnished. So many rooms to explore and displays to see. The castles Chapel is stunning and a real highlight. Great views from the walls and the gardens are beautiful. Parking is available but chargeable.

Oh my goodness I absolutely loved this castle. Definitely one of the best castles I've been in England so far. I spent the whole day there. I took over one hundred pictures. Great for both adults and children. Simply fantastic. There are a lot of stairs though so stay in the gardens if you can't climb much!

Stunning castle, may be one of the best castles to see when visiting England. The grounds are also incredible. Every inch of this place is awe inspiring. Definitely should be on your bucket list. Also, don't skip the cafe/restaurant! Lovely staff and delicious treats! Finally got to try an English scone and it was everything I'd hoped. Highly recommend the town as well! Fantastic shops. Found everything we could dream of and it was the perfect end to our trip. 🥰

What a fantastic way to spend hours traveling back in time visiting the castle and gardens! My wife and daughter and I spent a few hours touring the incredible building. The guides throughout were professional and very knowledgeable. We stopped in and had a very nice lunch of pasties all around. The grounds were in great shape and so large it never seemed crowded. We went in October and I think some of the flowers were out of season. But there were many beautiful photo ops throughout!
