Tree Mallow 'Rosea' Overview

The cultivar 'Rosea' is a semi-evergreen subshrub that produces grey coloured foliage which is covered in hairs. Flowers are pink in colour, measuring around 8cm across, these are borne in summer. This cultivar has a vigorous growth habit, reaching sizes of around 2.5m wide and tall, but this is generally a short-lived species. Previously known as Lavatera × clementii 'Rosea', this plant's name change was announced by NATAG (RHS Nomenclature and Taxonomy Advisory Group) in the June 2021 edition of The Plant Review.
