The Stinking Iris has dull, purple-grey flowers borne on branched stems that are often hidden amongst bog foliage. As a result, this plant is often underrated. However, in autumn and winter, this water garden plant has a spectacular display of disproportionately large seed pods, revealing brilliant orange-red seeds.
