Wallflowers 'Winter Series' Overview
Erysimum × hybrida (Winter™ Series) are new cultivars of perennial wallflowers that have been specifically bred to have longer flowering ranges with a greater variety of colours. Blooming non-stop for months, these larger plants produce fragrant flower spikes, that if cut back by half straight after flowering, will help to maintain these evergreen plants dense habit for the following year. Commonly known as wallflowers, these plants suit being grown in sun-drenched containers, mixed flower borders or on mass for cut flowers. Some of the cultivars developed by German plant breeder Kientzler. in this range are E. Winter Party, E. 'Winter Joy', ' E. 'Winter Rouge', and E. 'Winter Passion'. These cultivars are protected under intellectual property laws by Plant Breeders' Rights. These provide the breeder of new plants exclusive control over the plant material for a set amount of time.
