A genus of plants that belong to the daisy family, Asteraceae (Asteraceae). There are approximately 125 herbaceous perennial species and a few shrubs in this genus and they are commonly called bonesets, snakeroots and thoroughworts in different locations. These are typically grown as ornamental plants, particularly in Asia.
