Zelkova Overview
Zelkova is a small genus containing around 6 deciduous shrubs and trees in the Elm family, Ulmaceae. Several species are now considered endangered in the wild where they are confined to a handful of Mediterranean islands, the Caucasus and parts of East Asia. When cultivated they are mostly grown as ornamental trees for their autumn foliage colour.
