Ox-eye Overview
Heliopsis is a genus of 15 species of herbaceous perennial flowering plants in the Asteraceae family. This genus is native to the Americas where they are found in dry prairie habitats. They have usually yellow composite flowerheads, robust, erect stems, lance-shaped leaves and are commonly known as ox-eye. Flowering late in the Summer and into Autumn, they are popular in cultivation in wildflower and prairie planting schemes.
