Golden Shrimp Plant Overview
Evergreen shrub species that typically grows to around a metre tall, producing dark green, lance-shaped foliage. Flowers are 2-lipped, white and surrounded by large, showy yellow modified leaves, termed bracts. Pachystachys lutea is a tender species, it is grown outdoors in warm and tropical climates and indoors as a container plant in colder climates.
Common problems with Golden Shrimp Plant
White flies and Red spider mites may be troublesome when grown indoors. Provide good ventilation to keep plants healthy.
