This low growing ground cover has bright green leaves and small bell-shaped yellow flowers that bloom during Spring. It is fast growing and quickly fills up bare spaces in gardens. Honey made from the nectar is known as komynheuning (cumin honey) referring to its taste.

How to propagate Cumin Hermannia
Seed
Sow seeds from late summer to autumn and in spring, 1.5 times deeper than the size of the seed(very shallow). Germination takes about 10 days. Seedlings produce stronger plants than cuttings.
Cuttings
Take softwood or herbaceous cuttings from a vigorous plant in spring to early summer, treat with rooting hormone, and place in a propagation unit with bottom heat of 28° and overhead mist.
