Flowering Maple Overview

Originally from tropical and sub-tropical regions around the world, Abutilon species can be evergreen or deciduous shrubs, trees, perennials or annuals. They have simple or palmately lobed leaves - similar to maple leaves, and are consequently sometimes called 'flowering maples'. They have bell-shaped or bowl-shaped flowers, often with conspicuous stamens. In frost-prone areas, grow under glass.
