Bear grass Overview

Genus of evergreen perennials similar in appearance to palms or yuccas. They are typically grown for their attractive foliage and flowers and originate from dry arid habitats in Mexico. Thus they tolerate low water conditions and require well-draining soil for optimal growth as an ornamental garden plant. Leaves are silvery-green, usually toothed and radiate from the centre of the plant in all directions, forming a spherical ball shape.
