Everlasting Flower 'Granvia Gold' Overview

Xerochrysum 'Granvia Gold' is an attractive, branching, golden yellow-flowering cultivar in the daisy family, Asteraceae. This cultivar won the Glee New Product Awards in 2019, it produces attractive, daisy-like flowers with papery modified leaves surrounding them, termed bracts. The flower centres turn orange with age, forming an attractive companion to the golden yellow petals. They are tender annual plants which thrive in full sun and moist, well-draining soil. Suits planting in containers and this plant makes a wonderful cut flower, it dries easily and may also be used fresh for potpourri. The flowers have a unique crispy texture similar to that of tissue paper.
