Mallow Overview
A genus of around 25-30 species of annual, biennial or herbaceous perennial plants in the Malvaceae family with a wide distribution throughout Africa, Asia and Europe from the tropics to temperate zones. They have palmately divided leaves and 5-petalled salver-shaped flowers in shades of white or pink. Several species are cultivated as garden ornamentals for their attractive Summer flowers. Often grown in wildflower planting schemes, they are short-lived but will self-seed.

Cuttings
Propagate by seed in autumn and selected forms by cuttings from firm, basal shoots in late spring or summer. These shoots may be encouraged by cutting plant back after first flowers have faded.
