Maranta Lemon Lime Overview
Maranta Lemon Lime is a tender, clump-forming evergreen perennial cultivar with intricately patterned leaves. The common name refers to the light green markings on the leaves, these set it apart from the standard pink-ribbed Maranta and make this plant highly coveted amongst collectors. Part of the Marantaceae family, this plant is also called a Prayer Plant due to its habit of raising and lowering its leaves. Pop this beautiful plant somewhere it can catch your eye if you want to see the leaves move. It likes moist soil and partial shade, avoid placing in direct sunlight as this can harm the leaves. This plant has been developed in cultivation and is a popular houseplant. It won't grow from seed and the best way to propagate it is through layering or cuttings. It can produce delicate purple and white flowers which are very short-lived, usually opening and closing within a day.
