Wallflower 'Bowles's Mauve' Overview
Erysimum 'Bowles Mauve' is a compact, semi-evergreen perennial that produces bright green foliage and tall racemes of fragrant purple flowers, blooming in early spring to late summer. Also known as Wallflower 'Bowles's Mauve', this bushy herbaceous plant prefers a spot in full sun with well-drained and not too fertile soil, making it a perfect plant for Mediterranean, Gravel or Coastal style gardens. Lightly trimming the plant after flowering will help prevent it from getting too leggy. This cultivar has earned a Royal Horticultural Society (RHS) Award of Garden Merit. It is also part of the RHS “Plants for Pollinators” initiative to showcase plants that support pollinator populations by providing ample nectar and pollen. An excellent choice for encouraging pollinating insect wildlife into your garden!
