Syngonium 'Magic Marble' Overview
The cultivar Syngonium podophyllum 'Magic Marble' is an evergreen climber from the aroid family, Araceae. It's commonly grown as a houseplant for its attractive variegated green foliage. Known commonly by the names Syngonium 'Magic Marble' and Syngonium 'Three Kings'. This plant may be sold under these names. Keep it moist in the growing period but allow to dry out a little in between watering during the winter. Place in medium to bright light, out of direct strong sunlight as this can damage the leaves. It produces green, arrow-shaped young leaves with attractive green to cream colouring. The leaves develop into a completely different structure with age. Mature leaves are divided into 3 lobes or 5–9 distinct leaflets and these do not closely resemble the young arrow-shaped leaves. It produces arum-like flowers, but rarely in cultivation. It is not frost hardy and therefore most suitable to grow as conservatory and glasshouse specimen.
