Wintersweet Overview
Genus of 5 species of deciduous or evergreen shrubs endemic to China. They grow 2-13m high, producing opposite, 7-20cm long and 3-7cm wide leaves. Flowers are 2-3cm in diameter, strongly scented and coloured in yellow or white. Species in this genus are cultivated as ornamental plants for their showy, scented flowers.
