Spiked Speedwell Overview
Veronica spicata is a low growing herbaceous perennial that forms soft deep green mounds that produce elegant blue spikes of flowers with cultivars that include purples, pinks, and white flowers. Can be used as a ground cover in a mixed or herbaceous border and also does well in containers. This species is part of the Royal Horticultural Society “Plants for Pollinators” initiative to showcase plants which support pollinator populations by providing ample amounts of nectar and/ or pollen. A great choice for encouraging pollinating insect wildlife into your garden!
