Lilac 'Josée' Overview

Syringa 'Josée' is a compact lilac that forms a rounded shape covered with heart-shaped matt green leaves. From late spring, it produces dense clusters of fragrant lavender-pink flowers that continue appearing intermittently until autumn. This low-maintenance shrub only needs a light prune in late spring as the first flush of flowers is fading, only cutting the shoots back to the stem. Established plants can be moderately pruned every other year, cutting a third of the older stems back and any shoots appearing from near the base of the main trunk. Syringa 'Josée' is the preferred selling name for Syringa 'Morjos 060f' and is occasionally listed as Syringa 'Josee'.
