Solanum tuberosum 'Arran Pilot' is better known as Potato 'Arran Pilot'. This cultivar produces good yields of tasty tubers. The waxy tubers of this first early potato have a white skin with a creamy white flesh. They were developed in Scotland during the 30's and is still popular today for its high yield and great resistance to all forms of scab and spring. It is also a good variety for growing in clay soil. Often treated as an annual crop, this is one of the most popular potato cultivars.
