Potato Vine Overview
Solanum laxum is a climbing species with glossy, semi-evergreen, dark green leaves. This foliage provides a great background for the jasmine-scented, showy, white flowers that appear in summer. Flowers are blue-white and star-shaped with triangular petals and stocky yellow stamens in the centre. Flowers lead onto inedible, round, purple-black fruits in autumn.
Common problems with Potato Vine
Can be attacked by aphids and red spider mite. It can also suffer from grey moulds and tomato spotted wilt.
How to propagate Potato Vine
