Nipplewort Overview

Lapsana communis is an annual species in the daisy family, Asteraceae (Asteraceae). It has an upright, branching habit, producing stiff stems and bright yellow blooms. Foliage is oval to lance-shaped and toothed, leaves are borne on short stems. This species is native to Britain and often found on disturbed ground, hedgerows and open woodland. The flowers measure between 1-2cm in width, they appear in loose clusters in the summer.
