Bourbon Rose Overview
Rosa 'Madame Isaac Péreire' is a robust shrub cultivar in the rose family, Rosaceae. It has an open and arching growth habit, producing bold green foliage and large, scented, cup-shaped, deep rose-pink double flowers. Termed partially quartered, this refers to the petals, which appear to be divided into 4 quarters. Flowers measure around 15cm wide and they are produced in summer and autumn. This cultivar is part of the Climbing Bourbon Rose Horticultural Group, these plants are well suited to training to climb around structures such as pergolas or archways.
Common problems with Bourbon Rose
Can also be affected by the pests rose leafhoppers, rose leaf-rolling sawfly, deer and rabbits. Possible diseases also include rose powdery mildew.
