Kodo wood Overview
Ehretia is a genus containing around 64 shrub or tree species in the borage family, Boraginaceae. They produce foliage in alternate or clustered arrangements. The leaves are egg or oval-shaped and in some species covered in hairs. Often these hairs are densely produced along the leaf edges. Flowers are star-shaped, scented, white or purple in colour and these are arranged on branched inflorescences. Leading on to yellow, orange or red drupe fruits.
