Oscularia is a genus of around 25 species from the Aizoaceae family. They are native to South Africa where they are found in semi-arid and rocky habitats. These plants are small succulents with waxy, fleshy leaves often with a triangular cross-section and brightly-coloured daisy-like flowers in Summer and Autumn. Oscularia deltoides is the most commonly cultivated species, grown for its unusual leaf shape and magenta-pink flowers. They are usually grown under glass but can withstand being grown outside during the summer as long as they have winter protection.
