Gardens are very good and alot of new planting is underway. Walled garden is spectacular in late spring. During our visit today a themed 'Alice in Wonderland' event was on. Great for kids and many adults. However management decided to remove many of the tables and chairs from outside the cafe. As we couldn't sit inside(the tables had been reserved) it lead to issues, like 'Where does one sit?' Also £4.50 for 2 takeaway teas is somewhat excessive! Same price as a pot of tea for 2! Staff explained that they couldn't serve a pot of tea as they would not have been able to do the washing up!! Serious mistake by management. They really need to get a grip on how to run the cafe effectively.

What a beautiful garden. The flowers are stunning. And the house is enormous. They have a coffee shop too. Shame you can't go into the house. But,the gardens are beautiful. I have never seen a yellow Magnolia before.But I have now.

Top class venue. Visited at Easter for a birthday afternoon tea at the cafe. The coffee was one of the best coffees we had for a long time. The food was very tasty and the staff were all so friendly and welcoming. Top hospitality with gorgeous gardens and stunning views too.

It's easy to spend the whole day within these gardens.. even hours sitting by the lakeside alone.. all so calm and tranquil. Didn't want my time there to come to an end!

Nice picturesque outdoor location to stroll around. Nice cake and coffee. Shame they only take plastic at the entry and I only had cash. Fortunately another customer paid me in with her card and I gave her the cash.
