Very fine place to visit on a hot sunny day. Unfortunately the Gardens were closing at 15:00 instead of 17:00 ( Sun 17 July 2022) which have derailed our plans for a lunch followed by a garden walk on our first day of our holiday. Inspite this we have enjoyed the garden enormously and staff were very helpful and kind. We even managed to get a take away lunch ! We recommend this beautiful garden .

Soooo lovely. I went with my husband and three children (which cost a very reasonable £21!). We were looking for somewhere to stop mid-journey on holiday. The gardens were beautiful, perfectly imperfect. I loved how there were parts left to nature, parts beautifully maintained and some parts in progress. I felt we got a glimpse of all the wonderful childhoods spent on hazy summer days running around the grounds. The cafe had delicious cakes although perhaps a little expensive (probably accurate though when compared to NT cafes) the carrot cake was particularly good. The estate's church was stunning, the views by the house were amazing. We will absolutely visit again if we are coming anywhere close again. Some comments have mentioned the fact that dogs were not allowed, having 3 little children for us it was actually lovely not to have to worry about the inevitable dog no2's!

It's easy to spend the whole day within these gardens.. even hours sitting by the lakeside alone.. all so calm and tranquil. Didn't want my time there to come to an end!

Nice picturesque outdoor location to stroll around. Nice cake and coffee. Shame they only take plastic at the entry and I only had cash. Fortunately another customer paid me in with her card and I gave her the cash.

Outstanding place to vist! Especially in the sunshine. You could simply walk around the grounds, for day's. There's a nice coffee shop, yoga studio. The lake is absolutely stunning.
