A wonderful hotel and gardens. A real asset to the community, and a great supporter of autism. Thank you

We recently had our wedding reception in Liss Ard Estate and it was such an amazing experience from start to finish! The place itself is idyllic and pristine. The staff were excellent and went above and beyond to make the weekend a memorable one. The food was superb and all of our guests spoke very highly of it. A special mention to Aidan, Alex, Jackie, Claire and Anna for their hard work throughout the planning process and the weekend itself. The rooms were beautiful and the decor was faultless. Thanks again to all and we would highly recommended Liss Ard as a wedding venue.

Booked as part of a trip around the region and, not fully knowing what to expect, we were really pleasantly surprised by Liss Ard. A pretty quirky property, different from typical Irish country houses. Place has a sort of Scandinavian minimalist feel, with some modern art and interesting coffee table books scattered throughout. Our room in the main house was great, high ceilings, views over the lake and again furnished with some interesting artwork and books. The gardens are magnificent. We stayed during a particularly wet time, but this just made the place seem even more lush, with the gully's and waterfalls in full, stunning flow. The Sky Garden is a great feature as well (recommend reading one of the books in the house detailing its original concept and planning envisaged - a fascinating and humorous history of the place!). Finally, the food also surprised us - really enjoyable meal with seasonal dishes cooked in a skilled and stylish way. Overall, Liss Ard will go down as one of the (unexpected) highlights of our trip. Hopefully the new owners can retain some of the quirks and charms that make this place a little different while also building on some of the incredible potential this house and it's amazing gardens possess.

Had afternoon tea in September when staying locally. Staff who served food very nice - front of house could do with working on hospitality. Nice decor but very contemporary/clinical for such an amazing venue. Afternoon tea itself was average - wouldn't be able to recommend on this experience
