Myself, my partner and our dog stayed for 2 nights at the Liss Ard estate the weekend just gone. We had an absolutely fantastic weekend. The room was lovely and finished to a high standard, and a huge plus was having access to our own private garden for our dog. The grounds were absolutely beautiful for a walk around and the breakfast was delicious both mornings. We had dinner the second night, I ordered the venison and my partner ordered the duck, they were both cooked to perfection. The staff were so friendly, and helpful especially Mary at the reception and Conor at the bar, and the whole experience was so personable. We were so impressed with our stay that we are 100% going to stay there again. A huge bonus was being able to bring our dog away with us for a weekend and being able to have him in the public areas in the hotel also. Can't wait for the next visit!

Lovely stay here. Our room was in the Mews building and although it was on the small side the furnishings and decor are of the finest quality. The food we had for dinner and again at breakfast Was excellent. They have a lovely bar which is cosy and comfortable in the main building. The staff are obliging and welcoming. There are beautiful walks and other amenities in the estate however we did not have either the weather or the time needed to explore these during our short stay.

My husband and I traveled to Ireland for the first time to celebrate our wedding anniversary. Throughout our journey we traveled over 840 kilometers within the first four days. While encountering many bed and breakfast locations and hotels, none of them compare to the Liss Ard Estate. This Estate is absolutely stunning and surround by views of the countryside, a beautiful garden and a forest fit for a picture book beside a robust lake. Upon arriving at the Estate we were accommodated with the most outstanding hospitality and professionalism. We appreciated every detail this Estate offers that truly made our vacation feel as if we were on a magical retreat. Throughout our stay my husband and I feel like we have gained friends due to the amazing courtesy shown by the staff of the Estate as they perfected every detail of our stay. We just want to say thank you to everyone for making our vacation one we will never forget. We cannot recommend this Estate enough as it is truly a place you will be sure to treasure! -Brianna Falls

The surroundings are delightful, but the room is tiny, and it doesn't have an aircon or the possibility to open the window inside the room, only in the bathroom. The drive to the apartments is ultra-narrow, so driving is stressful. Breakfast is excellent, but for this price per night, I would expect fresh fruits like berries or blueberries, not only apples. Also, as for dry fruits, there were only raisins and bananas, and almonds, no cranberries or other dried fruits. One last item is we were hungry, and the restaurant was closed at 7 PM. But on the positive side, they have a fantastic dog that is welcoming and gives you a tour of the sky garden.

Our stay in Liss Ard Estate was just perfect. The grounds are stunning with lots of beautiful woodland paths leading out onto the lake. The manor is beautifully decorated in a mix of old and new with attention to every conceivable detail. We dined in the in house garden restaurant for breakfast and dinner. The pork main was out of this world. Breakfast was a beautiful selection of healthy options (granola, porridge) and treats (pain perdu/ French toast full Irish etc). There was nothing we ate or drank that wasn’t 10/10. The bar/lounge is cosy with plump sofas and a record player/board games to relax in front of the fire with a masterfully crafted cocktail. The rooms were incredible, we saw a lake house room and stayed in the Manor House, both were impeccably decorated and spotlessly clean. The beds are soft and cosy and impossible to get out of! Overall I cannot recommend Lisa Ard Estate highly enough. It’s a stunning property with amazing staff and delicious food.
