A good nursery with a good selection of plants in the spring and summer months. Lots of seeds for plants fruit and vegetables to purchase. A good tea room serving a variety of food and hot drinks. Staff are very friendly and good too. It has a walk around area of the world with lots of plants and trees and shrubs to view at a small cost.

Plant World is a regular haunt for me and my less mobile mother, for a snack and a cuppa. The patio/terrace part of the café has shaded seating, offering respite from our oppressive summer heat. The café staff never seem organised. Getting served and getting your order takes time. So relax and enjoy the surroundings. The food is fine; it's not a diverse or special menu, but good, fresh café dining. And, oh! The views. The placement of Plant World provides some of the most stunning views you will find at a Teignbridge café... the grounds, with their exotic plants arranged to recreate the continents of our planet are fascinating and beautiful, together with rural and coastal views across Dawlish and beyond. But I know what you're thinking, because you've read my reviews before... "What about the toilets, Debs??". Ah, café toilets fill me with dread, so it's so beautiful to visit a bathroom which is clean, well-lit and a decent size. Someone takes a real pride in the cleanliness of these loos. It is greatly appreciated! And finally, there's Mollie the collie. She's two. She has a ball. She wants you to throw the ball. Look her in the eyes and say no - I challenge you.

Found some amazing rare plants here! The World Garden is so lovely, with great views! We ended with a cup of tea in the cafe, and picked up some seeds that they harvest from their plants.
