What an enjoyable day. The guides were very helpful & friendly. They talked with enthusiasm about the house & were very knowledgeable. Thank you. The house was beautifully kept & it was lovely to hear about all the history of the Morgan family. We had a leisurely walk round the gardens & lake, everything was well tended. We would certainly recommend a visit. (suitable for all the family)

Lovely day out! Cafe is really nice and had several vegan options (had we have known we might not have brought our own lunch!), second hand bookshop is amazing and all the staff/volunteers all over the place are lovely and friendly! We only got to nip into one of the craft shops at the front (the handmade musical instruments) which was a shame but they all looked so interesting, and they have a refill shop which we also didn't get time to do. There's not that many toilets, could do with some nearer the grounds if that was possible, but all the services are the quality you'd expect from the NT! The grounds are beautiful and teeming with birds, flowers and stunning trees. If you walk far enough you can hear the road, which is a shame but also means it's very easy to find the place.

First time visit to Tredegar house it is very well laid out and the staff were very well informed and filled in the family history. Access to a window in time as you could see the Morgan family change with the times over the years. It was done in a way you could follow the main characters at famous points in history. The house had a very pleasant homely feel. Following this we had a lovely walk around the lake and woods and a nice coffee and lunch in the cafe.

£11 per adult for entry. Good welcome by the staff. Walking round the house and grounds was pleasant. Some of the staff in the house were happy to talk but didn't volunteer information about the history of the house. All of the staff were masked and followed social distancing. The cafe was very full with tables not spread far enough apart. There were four members of staff in front of house either serving food, taking orders or cleaning tables. None of them were masked. And passed from behind the counter to the seating area freely. Most of the customers were masked but this seemed pointless if those handling food and cleaning weren't doing the same. The food on the chalkboards weren't up to date with what was available. I.e. Leek and potato soup on the board. Red pepper soup on today. Food was good quality though. Customers in the long queue felt a need to stand as close to the person in front of them as possible.

Enjoyed my visit here, gardens even in winter was pleasantly kept. The house was nice but understood it's normal for one floor to be closed, our visit missed the bedrooms. They did a evening ghost walk which sounded interesting if booked
