Lovely day out! Cafe is really nice and had several vegan options (had we have known we might not have brought our own lunch!), second hand bookshop is amazing and all the staff/volunteers all over the place are lovely and friendly! We only got to nip into one of the craft shops at the front (the handmade musical instruments) which was a shame but they all looked so interesting, and they have a refill shop which we also didn't get time to do. There's not that many toilets, could do with some nearer the grounds if that was possible, but all the services are the quality you'd expect from the NT! The grounds are beautiful and teeming with birds, flowers and stunning trees. If you walk far enough you can hear the road, which is a shame but also means it's very easy to find the place.

Great place for families, dog walking and just enjoying the green space. Lovely gardens and wood areas, dogs on and off lead spaces. There is a cost for car parking, luckily the machines were down today. Historical house to explore, unfortunately dogs not allowed so couldn't go in. Children's park, nice cafe with outside courtyard seating area. Few shops selling books etc. Toilet facilities were clean and easy to access. Great lake and some huge trees. Lots of people there but due to the size of the park not crowded at all. Lovely few hours visit, will definitely return.

First time visit to Tredegar house it is very well laid out and the staff were very well informed and filled in the family history. Access to a window in time as you could see the Morgan family change with the times over the years. It was done in a way you could follow the main characters at famous points in history. The house had a very pleasant homely feel. Following this we had a lovely walk around the lake and woods and a nice coffee and lunch in the cafe.

Beautiful house and grounds! Friendly and knowledgeable staff only too willing to answer questions. Wheelchair access. Large car park and dog friendly grounds. A most amazing stable block as grand as the house! Ideal family day out with extensive grounds and a lake. All areas are wheelchair accessible.

Impressive building; although not able to go in and look around as had my four legged friend with me. So enjoyed exploring the grounds with a lake, large area of grassland and children's play area it is certainly a place to visit with a picnic for the whole family.
