About the garden

A short walk from the beach, this hidden wooded valley, with it’s secret garden and industrial past, is a place for play. There are fallen trees to climb, rope swings and playful surprises everywhere. Spring brings Bluebells, Camellias, Rhododendrons and Azaleas, while the Walled Garden gives year-round colour, peace and seclusion.

There are woodland walks, meandering streams and ponds with stepping stones and Log bridges in the Wildflower Meadow, and the whole valley teems with wildlife.

Pleasant woodland garden. Especially attractive in the spring with woodland walks. Possible to access the sea directly from the gardens. Pleasant cafe selling snacks and small main meals. Cost to park car but entrance to the gardens is free post covid. About 2 km to the sea.

Haven't visited for many years, really enjoyed the main site and super cafe on site as well. Was introduced to the vast other walks available and will definitely call back as it too much to take in on one visit. Tree hugging essential.....
