It is a lovely house still lived in by the Elton family. The room stewards are very friendly and knowledgeable. The garden was fragrant and the flowers started to bloom, which attracted bees, butterflies and flies.

The guides are very informative, just ask them. Not a very big house as it is still lived in by someone, so you can't see all the house (obviously). Only open at certain times and days. It's worth doing tyntesfield house first then come here as these are both national trust. (if you're a member). Not a very colorful garden (may).

Very green and quiet, there's one person of the staff in every room, they're very helpful and knowledgeable about the house.

Shame the tea room has gone. Will have to revisit later in the year, not a great deal of colour in the garden
