A lovely peaceful spot with some easy hiking trails. Ample shaded areas to rest and picnic. Some benches and a "no frills" rugged little park for the kids. Ponds with carp, geese and other birds and fish. No taps for fresh drinking water, no toilets and no caffe or eateries in the nature reserve. Come prepared with snacks & beverages. Ideal for a 1.5 - 2.5 hr short outing to appreciate the beauty of our natural surroundings

Beautiful place for a short picnic under the trees. 2 - 3 hours to relax and take a walk. The main problem is there are no toilets hence I said short picnic. It is a nice early morning stop to just take a 1 hour walk or run for fitness and to take a breath of fresh air.

It truly is a Majik place to visit. Take to the forest for a trail run or gear up for mountain biking. Go for a walk in the park or catch some shade on a bench near the waters edge to take in the calm natural scenery. It's open to the public for free.

Autumn walks in Majik forest are awesome with kids. Absolutely love the season colour changes. Finding little Rock treasures as you walk is always a hit. #CapeTownRocks Perfect for exploring the rock pools with little kids (during spring and autumn only as the little streams are dry in summer...) We always take welly boots with us... but somehow our kids come home sopping wet... Great for a picnic. They have put up a sweet little play area in the middle, near the bridge, in the last 2 years, so that's been a great upgrade. No public toilets. So we keep our visits 1-2 hours long.

We love walking around the Majik Forest 🌲surrounded by trees. Sometimes we take food and have a picnic by the dam and play area for kids. It's free to get in and so rewarding to recharge in nature 🌼
