Beautiful gardens, a tranquil oasis. Wear sensible shoes as a lot of walking on various surfaces and quite hilly. Food is pricey from outlets, £3.90 for egg mayo sandwich, £4.10 for ham salad sandwich. Childs small carton of milkshake £2.10, crisps £1.60. Amazing sculpture exhibition in grounds, chickens, wallabies and peacocks. Pretty riverside walk with seating dotted about.

Really enjoyed the atmosphere & the illuminations. The Singers & artists on the bends were very funny. Loved the way the guides were lit up - wrapped in fairy lights. Apparently the food stalls were very good & the kids enjoyed the small funfair.

Wonderful place to visit as the gardens look amazing at this time of year.

We visited the Illuminated show and it went far beyond our expectations - it was just magical, hard to describe quite how special it was. Beautifully directed light, sound, and sculpture. Lots of little musical acts throughout, well planned, not too far but ample to explore. Excellent value for a superb trip for our whole family (kids aged 2 and 6). The staff were all extremely helpful and professional - the organisation of the whole event really shone through, a very capable team! Can thoroughly recommend to anyone.

Great place for a quiet walk. We followed the map around the whole park and hardly saw a sole except near the cafe area. We had been here previously before it closed to the public and there have been a number of improvements. Parking is plentiful, good size cafe and lots of outside seating. The dolls house is still here which was tremendous. The work and craftsmanship is astounding. Will definitely visit again either for the Christmas light show or for the spring colours.
