Great place for the kids. Very interesting stuff on show.... The manager is probably the person ever!!! Went out of the way to find us a quiet room.... Absolutely amazing person. Thank you so much.

I just went to the gardens today not the museum.the garden's is a beautiful space with several things to do in it. There is a very small farm but it is still lovely to be so close to animals such as an alpaca and some sheep. There are some large musical instruments that children and adults can have fun with making lots of sounds. There is also a butterfly house which you have to book to get in but it is well worth a visit. There is also a refreshment kiosk.

A fantastic traditional museum with the most amazing collection. The natural history sections were terrific. The building itself is also noteworthy. The well cared for gardens provides one of the best panoramic views of the City of London. An instant family favourite and one to return to often.

Beautiful gardens with well care landscaping in a interesting hilly land. It is a fantastic place to bring children of all ages, in pretty much all weather. There is plenty of free activities to enjoy, like the mini animal park (although I found it to be sad). Or with a little investment I highly recommend the butterfly house. My 6 year old was extremely interested and amused. The museum has fun exhibits but the local community is honestly the best part of any experience there: super welcoming and family friendly people!

Quick visit to see the aquarium, which was lovely with fish and other water life from a wide range of habitats. Not overly busy. Also visited the well curated music room with clever sound samples from some of the old and quirky instruments on display in a format easily operated by a small child. Lower Ground floor mens toilet isn't so salubrious or child friendly- plan accordingly. Would recommend and hope to come again for longer.
