WHAT A GEM! Having seen this restaurant and always wanting to visit it, I decided this morning to take my family for an extra ordinary outside breakfast. WHAT STUNNING VIEWS! PERFECT LOCATION. To be honest, I would wear a jacket or coat if I was going there. Between the cold food and ice cold personality of the staff, this place should be advertised as a winter get away. The boring menu was way over priced for the simplicity that arrived on the plate. Having just ordered the Traditional Breakfast, I was hoping for an enjoyable meal. The waiter got the toast wrong and after almost finishing our meals, I eventually got up and went to fetch the toast myself, that was sitting on the shelf, also getting cold. NOT 1 of the staff smiled, the entire time that we were in the restaurant. Clearly these people have no idea on how to run a restaurant, and are only surviving because of their location. Personally I'd never recommend this place to anyone that has any real culinary values, or simply doesn't wish to be ripped off. Like I said in the beginning. What a gem. However some gems are better NEVER DISCOVERED.

Best Spinache feta quiche ever and lovely out in nature atmosphere. Pricing superb. You just have to laugh at how friendly but useless South African waiters are, they lack customer attentiveness and seldom know much about what is happening in and around their working environment. In this case Chart Farm sells only roses at R8.00 picked or R7.00 to pick your own. This waiter dis not know the prices and told us to ask at the front desk, duh!!!

I enjoyed the environment, the scenery is really spectacular and the coffee came quickly and hot. Service was good however we went on a Sunday and it was really busy. Our food took a long time to come around and our toast was short a few pieces. Other than that it was great.

A beautiful experience in the garden with some lovely rose bushes, however, after my girlfriend and I brought our roses in to be wrapped up and hand back the bucket and shears, they completely destroyed 3 of the roses and squashed most of the others in the process. If you do pick your own roses I strongly urge that you ask them to be careful.

Lovely setting and views. Food was enjoyable - my only issue was that we were 4 guests and our meals all arrived at different times!! Otherwise all good and we will return!
