The house is ok including lots of paintings from it's past artist owner, including some good ones from the artist in residence but the real reason to go is the garden. Stunning. Wow. Peaceful...Nice cat too..

Lovely large townhouse and gardens of the late artist E A Hornel. A very interesting and lovely experience awaits you here with lots of interesting and beautiful paintings by the world renowned artist. The house is a stunning example of a large townhouse with beautiful woodwork and gorgeous fireplaces. The garden is lovely and well worth a walk around. Would definitely recommend a visit if in the area.

I didn't go into the house so cannot comment on that, however the garden is just simply beautiful. The garden is divided into different sections thanks to low hedges and gravel paths. There are seats to take a little break, perfect for a day like ours where the sun was out. There were birds chirping and the buzz of the bees enjoying the spring flowers. While the garden is free to enter there is a donation box, worth giving something if you can.

Had a nice look around this artists house, the architecture and layout was very interesting. The garden was in full bloom with many unusual and interesting plants, well worth a visit.....
