About the garden

Blaise Plant Nursery, a hidden gem of land, glasshouses and polytunnels.

The original Blaise Plant Nursery was a walled garden attached to the Blaise Estate. It was where most of the fruit and vegetables for the house were grown from around 1800. This old nursery is now a community garden.

Got myself a lovely potted Christmas tree and a metal Robin for the garden. Had a discount as I joined Friends of Blaise. Plenty of parking, easy access, marked disabled car space and very friendly helpful staff. What more could I want!

Looks like it is owned by Bristol City Council? Very spacious area. Good selection of plants and shrubs along with compost, pots etc. All seems rather expensive.

This place is growing rapidly. They sell compost and other bagged items. As seasons change they sell vegetable plants as well as flower plants. Now trees and bushes. An added bonus is that it is a Bristol City council enterprise with years of expertise backing the retail side The staff are excellent and very helpful. It deserves everyone's support and the prices are simply excellent.

Lovely and spaced out displays. Good selection of plants. Could do with somewhere to park your bike!
