About the garden

In addition to the vineyards and farm cottages, Belfield has beautiful gardens to explore. These have been designed to attract a variety of birds, bees, insects and other animals, including antelope, Cape fox and slender mongoose. It forms the lungs and contact to nature on the farm and is linked to the fact that Mike and Mel owned a Protea farm previously, and have a passion for Cape fynbos. Both the Magnifica and Aristata wines are named for proteas.

A unique stay on a working wine farm. Comfortable accommodation stylishly finished and an exceptional host. Great location with lots to do in the vicinity or just a chance to relax. Excellent walks around the vineyards and indigenous garden. Highly recommended!

This is our third visit to Belfield. We were looking to getaway and discovered this gem of a farm. The cottages are comfortable and clean. Mel is so welcoming and warm. Her furbabies just as welcoming and we enjoyed their little visits. The wine is also very good. I would highly recommend Belfield for a little getaway and some R & R.
