One of the highlights of an 18 day road trip. A lovely, quiet garden, with marked footpaths that wind through trees, flower beds and a kitchen garden. Real variety and interest, including a Sculpture Trail. Fantastic “honesty cafe” with tasty soup, sandwiches, cakes and drinks. As a solo traveller I appreciate people smiling and saying hello as they pass… this was the friendliest place I visited, there’s something about it that makes people smile. I’d detour to return on my next trip.

Beautiful autumnal visit. Really friendly helpful staff. Fairy and halloween trails were such fun even for adults. Loved the Japanese garden.

What a beautiful, peaceful place to spend some time wandering and exploring! Gorgeous plants, birds everywhere, a lovely circular walk and we loved the good value DIY cafe with honesty box and even contactless payment! Highly recommended, not cheap to get in but well worth it!

Lovely gardens, with the azaleas and rhododendrons at their best. Lovely geraniums as effective ground cover. Good place even on a bad day. Small self-servicw cafe.

Very beautiful gardens in Scotland. Allow 1.5 - 2 hours to enjoy the colours, the joy and calmness of lovely gardens. And the sculptures add great excitement to all the places
